DCU: Innovate Hub is an 8.5 acre campus dedicated to housing and scaling innovative companies
We are halfway between Dublin Airport and the city centre and we're approx. 15 mins walk from the main DCU academic campus in Glasnevin. The site was formerly an industrial research campus for various Irish state agencies, starting out as the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards (IIRS).
The campus ultimately became the birthplace of the National Standards Association of Ireland (NSAI), the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (now SEI), and of course Enterprise Ireland (EI). There are over a dozen buildings on site with DCU having repurposed, refurbished and repopulated approx 200,000 sq ft of space, for use as high tech labs and offices for over 70 resident companies with over 700 staff between them. Companies in DCU:Innovate Hub have raised over €500m in venture capital and debt funding over the last decade, with other M&A activity bringing the total overall investment in companies born or based here to over €1 billion during this period.
