Dublin City University has built a significant reputation for its research expertise in Connected Mobility. Aligned with this, an interesting connected mobility sub-cluster has organically grown in DCU:Innovate Hub, featuring companies such as Luna Systems, Transpoco, Rentalmatics, Eiratech Robotics, Bleeper and others. Researchers in DCU connected to the Insight Centre for Data Analytics have had numerous collaborations with these companies via innovation partnerships and other mechanisms. Luna Systems for example, ran the first large scale trial of computer vision edge AI cameras on board rental scooters, in partnership with DCU and the Insight Centre for Data Analytics.
