DCU:Innovate Hub is home to some of Ireland’s leading spacetech companies, who are leveraging European Space Agency (ESA) funding on various groundbreaking technologies. Ubotica is the first Irish commercial company to launch a satellite into space, replete with the company’s edge AI technology. Enbio designed and manufactured the heat shield for the ESA Solar Orbiter mission, in the process laying claim to the closest man-made object/material surface to the sun.
Meanwhile these companies and more are supported by the Irish Space Association based in DCU:Innovate Hub, as well as specialist spacetech consultancy Mindseed ltd. DCU:Innovate Hub is now also an ESA BIC (Business Incubation Centre) location, allowing companies to avail of incentive funding of up to €50,000, business development support, bespoke training, as well as access to experts, suppliers and investment capital firms in the spacetech sector.
