Paddy O’Boyle

Paddy serves as the Director of Business Development for ICT at DCU:Innovate, bringing over 30 years of experience in innovation and entrepreneurship in both the public and private sector.  At DCU:Innovate, he is dedicated to creating deep-tech start-ups, transforming early-stage ideas into viable new businesses.

A strong advocate for entrepreneurship training, Paddy has led several national initiatives in Lean Start-Up and is the creator of DCU’s Spin-In Programme, which connects entrepreneurs with innovative researchers and funding.

Before his current role, Paddy held senior leadership positions in the UK, Netherlands, and the US. He worked at Bell Labs (now part of Nokia/Alcatel Lucent) in strategy, M&A and marketing, as well as in engineering management roles at Nortel.  He holds an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam / the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast.
