Ronan Cunningham

Ronan joined DCU as Director of DCU Innovate in 2023. He has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in deep-tech and venture-backed innovation, including positions as founder, CEO, and Board member in aerospace engineering, digital health, and semiconductor companies in the US, UK, and Ireland. He holds a Masters in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT.

As the Director of DCU Innovate, Ronan is responsible for leading the design and execution of DCU’s research commercialisation strategy. He leads a team of innovation experts who facilitate industry-academia research partnerships, licensing of the university’s intellectual property, and creation and growth of spinout companies and licensing opportunities.
